Based in Vancouver, B.C., or Toronto, ON, the Analyst, Sustainability will report directly to the Manager, Sustainability. The Analyst will play a key role in advancing Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) initiatives for QuadReal's domestic portfolio.

You will be part of a larger team and will focus on research, project management, analytics, and ESG program implementation across various asset classes.


This individual has strong attention to detail, the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with various stakeholders, and be able to manage time in a fast-paced environment.

You will be joining a high-performing team who pushes the organization to achieve ambitious ESG objectives, as evidenced by our top rankings on the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB).

We take a strategic approach to deep carbon reductions, and you will provide data analysis to support the business cases.

You will have the opportunity to learn, inspire those around you, and create a positive impact with your work. This role will be starting in August or September 2024.


Responsibilities:


Support with delivering QuadReal's ESG programs across all asset classes, including, but not limited to: green building certifications, standard operating procedures, benchmarking, tenant carbon reporting, and internal training and communications.

Support properties' energy and carbon reduction projects aligned with QuadReal's portfolio goals by doing financial and data analysis and research.

Support with QuadReal's annual sustainability reporting and GRESB submissions. Support with data analytics and ESG key performance metric (KPI) visualizations. Conduct research and evaluate trends in real estate to support ESG program development and implementation. Communicate and engage with consultants, vendors, and internal QuadReal employees.


Experience and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in data analysis, sustainability, environmental science, engineering, business, or a related field
  • 13 years working in sustainability, preferably in the commercial real estate sector
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, in particular advanced Excel skills and creating PowerPoint presentations
  • Using PowerBI to effectively visualize data for many stakeholders
  • Ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure and manage deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities
  • Willing to learn and adapt to changes in a dynamic environment
  • Organized, detailoriented and a self starter
  • Resolve issues in a timely manner on daily responsibilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships
LI-MC- The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $58,000 to $80,500._

  • The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual's skill, experience, education and training, the market compensation of the role, and the consideration to internal equity._
