  • Job Description

    As a Project Coordinator in the Civil Engineering & Construction department, you will play a pivotal role in supporting project management activities, ensuring smooth coordination, and facilitating the successful execution of construction projects.

    Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining the project schedule using MS project
  • Providing the necessary information to all the project stakeholders
  • Assisting the Senior PM with the preparation of the total project budget
  • Supporting Project Managers in the permit process
  • Coordinating procurement of materials and equipment required for project execution
  • Support resource allocation, tracking, and management to optimize project efficiency
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and permits
  • Preparing regular progress reports, summarizing project status, milestones achieved, and potential risks
  • Managing change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and other project-related documents
  • Reviewing invoices/timesheets for project manager's approval
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the senior project managers
  • Qualifications

  • Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architectural degree
  • Capability to draw sketches and preliminary drawings in AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in MS Project
  • Capability to travel to sites for visits and inspections
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Awareness with the governmental authorities related to the local construction projects
  • Knowledge of the municipal and provincial permit process
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering sketches, design drawings and specifications
  • Additional:

  • Proven experience in project coordination within the construction or civil engineering industry
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
  • Familiarity with CAD software and construction industry-specific tools
  • Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis for construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and relevant regulation
