Affordability is a key component of B.C.'s Child Care Plan to implement a universal early care and learning system for children and families.

Within the Child Care Division, the Child Care Benefit and Operating Funding Branch is responsible for delivering two of the ministry's provincial-level child care funding programs: the Affordable Child Care Benefit and the Child Care Operating Funding Program including the Child Care Fee Reduction and Early Childhood Educator Wage Enhancement.


The Branch Office Manager provides direct support to the branch leadership team and support to multiple programs and teams management and staff and coordinates office administration functions, human resources, payroll, records management, facilities and asset management.


Job Requirements:


  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent (such as a GED).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience providing administrative support to a group of staff and supervisors.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • Experience in a fastpaced, highvolume work environment.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • A Diploma or Certificate in Office Administration or related field.
  • Experience in a Public Service administrative role.
  • Experience with the CLIFF tracking system, eApprovals and ARC/ORCS records management policies, procedures and guidelines.
