Position Summary:


The Training and Education Specialist position designs, implements, and utilizes training resources to facilitate effective utilization of the ImmsBC platform.

Education development and training to frontline First Nation Health Authority (FNHA) and First Nation Health Service Organization (FNHSO) staff users will ensure that an effective level of expertise exists for all users.

As a health and wellness organization, the First Nations Health Authority has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.

Responsibilities:


  • Leads FNHA/FNHSO education development, implementations and onboarding of health care workers to the ImmsBC Platform
  • Primarily focuses on Indigenous community engagement, stakeholder engagement with PHSA/BCCDC and regional health authorities, change management, and training/education for transition from Eform to ImmsBC related to Covid19 and Influenza documentation.
  • Ensures smooth transitions and user comfort to ImmsBC platform.
  • Liaises with the ImmsBC Jr. Analyst
  • Health Systems position to ensure provisioning of accounts in conjunction with Panorama Privacy implementation team, and clinical lead as necessary.
  • Participates in ongoing education from vendor/province on platform and become a system expert in DIWA process/flow and Citizen Registration.
  • Travels into First Nation communities for training and support of clinical staff as required.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of training programs, activities and resources by analyzing learning outcomes, assessing performance through feedback and determining opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Nursing, Health Informatics, Adult Education or equivalent background and education
  • Professional development in area of change management, or project management, an asset
  • Master degree in related discipline an asset

Experience

  • 2 years of experience related to educating/teaching within a healthcare environment,
  • 2 years of experience working with First Nations organizations or communities
  • Experience providing education/mentorship to users with varying levels of IT skills/comfort.
  • Experience in developing and implementing educational resources
  • Experience creating reports, distribution lists, and maintaining training

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:


  • Knowledge of change management, adult education, health informatics.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles such as OCAP, and existing data governance agreements with FNHA, FNHSO's, & Province related to Panorama
  • Knowledge of existing tools utilized in BC in clinical documentation such as Salesforce, ImmsBC, MOIS, PARIS, Mustimuhw, Panorama, Care Connect, and integration provincially Provincial systems considered an asset
