About the Role
The Budget Coordinator assists with the day-to-day management of IT Services' operating, project, and capital budgets.
The Budget Coordinator collaborates with the Manager, Budget Planning and Financial Management in the development of budgetary policies and procedures in order to maintain an integrated financial system for IT Services and ensures the accurate and timely completion of the annual budget, including forecasts, and fiscal year-end preparation.
The Budget Coordinator acts as the first point of contact for financial matters and provides financial guidance to IT Services' budget owners on accounting and budgeting practices, procedural issues, and University policies.
The Budget Coordinator liaises with Human Resources to initiate and coordinate the recruitment and selection of continuing and temporary positions and administers contracts and related procedures for temporary staff and independent contractors.
