Job purpose
To maintain flow of work in the shop by keeping Fitters/Welders stocked with Material.


Duties and responsibilities
Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the Material Handler is responsible for:

• Sorting parts for fabricators
• Moving steel in/out/around the shop
• Unloading/Loading trailers
• Provide accuracy and checking of steel
• General yard cleanup and organization
• Checking inventory

Skills and Qualifications

• Overhead Crane
• Forklift
• First Aid (is an asset)
• Physically fit and be able to lift and load manually various items
• Ability to work well under pressure in an extremely fast paced environment
• Strong multi tasker with keen attention to detail

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
$19.00-$24.00 per hour
