Reporting directly to the Senior Engineering Manager, the CAD/GIS Team Lead will be responsible for supervising all facets of GIS Data collection and processing.


What You'll Do Here:


  • Lead AUE Telecom, GIS team
  • Maintain relationship with Clients, subcontractors, and internal construction forces.
  • Oversee staff, including direct supervision of staff.
  • Review weekly productivities, and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Review invoicing to ensure accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Attend to customer concerns regarding delivery, quality, or other issues.
  • Monitor and document project changes, prepare change orders where required.
  • Prepare estimates associated with engineering scope of work.
  • Forecast project workload and ensure proper staffing is in place.
  • Accountable for project deliverables and financial performance.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through high quality project delivery.
  • Ensure AUE meets all customer stated KPI's, (permit turn around, % conf. grant)
  • Train and mentor staff on how to resolve issues, provide direction as to contacts and approaches.
  • Ensure preparation and submission of project documents, as specified by contract, to the client.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to client, as required.
  • Chair project meetings and ensure preparation and distribution of meeting minutes.
  • Responsible for implementing and monitoring of the Company's Safety Policy at the project location.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior staff.

What you bring to the Team:

  • Prior experience in a similar role within the utility engineering/construction industry.
  • Experience in Lidar data extraction, background in Geographic Information Systems.
  • Knowledge of Utility infrastructure and plan reading.
  • Advanced computer skills with a variety of software, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, MS Access, Topadot, AutoCAD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail in a fastpaced environment.
  • Selfmotivated, ability to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities and work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated effective decisionmaking skills while under limited supervision.
  • Understanding of current bestpractice project management techniques.
  • Excellent safety and attendance record and previously demonstrated strong safety awareness.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven people and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals.
