We are seeking an experienced Procurement Data Analyst for our North American Headquarters office located in Edmonton, AB.

This position will support and further develop the supply chain program related to PCL's national supply agreements and procurement processes to support district purchasing teams.

They will support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of systems and processes intended to manage supply risk and capitalize on opportunities.

Here's how a Procurement Data Analyst for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:


Responsibilities:


  • Utilizes computer models, process analysis, and business analytics to interpret data to make business decisions and efficiently answer complicated business problems
  • Assists in the development and continuous improvement of procurement systems, including system documentation and rollout
  • Identifies and respond to customer needs and challenges by developing customer focused solutions
  • Gathers, validates and documents business requirements
  • Coordinates solution walkthroughs and signoffs, verifying with stakeholders that requirements have been met
  • Supports and participates in district and corporate crossfunctional project teams
  • Subscribes to the departments culture of project ownership and continuous improvement
  • Documents and maintains streamlined business practices in the form of business guides, work instruction and business processes documents
  • Executes change management plans to drive acceptance, adoption, minimize resistance, and maximize engagement and efficiencies
  • Assists with training and rollouts as required
  • Supports the group with any required procurement needs as required
  • Coordinates centralized, large volume purchases on behalf of our operating districts in accordance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of three years of experience in business analysis and/or three years experience in procurement, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Operations Management or equivalent
  • Construction knowledge and/or experience is considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience creating reporting using Power BI or other data visualization software,
  • Excellent time management skills and can prioritize and communicate to ensure deadlines are met
  • Comfortable working independently with aggressive project schedules
  • Comfortable working in a high accountability culture
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • A positive attitude with a passion and commitment to both a project and a teams success
  • Able to develop creative solutions to meet customer needs for companywide processes and software
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment, is flexible, has strong listening skills and communicates well.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with district procurement teams and other corporate departments.
