    Private Infrastructure_ _line of business for CBRE Investment Management in Toronto. The Private Infrastructure team creates longterm value for its fund and separate account clients by sourcing, acquiring and managing highquality investments and building comprehensive infrastructure portfolios. The Role


Reporting to the Global Head of People, Real Estate Investments and Chief Operating Officer & CFO, Private Infrastructure, the
People Business Partner is responsible for supporting the Private Infrastructure team of CBRE Investment Management located in Toronto and London, UK with a variety of human resources processes and initiatives.

This role is an indispensable point of contact for staff at all levels in all matters relating to people management, total rewards, employee relations, employee communications, training and development, performance management, recruitment, and policy implementation and will work to effectively support the company's business strategy, objectives and values.


Responsibilities

Talent/People_

  • SME on all HR related matters and first point of contact for all staff on the Private Infrastructure team everything HRrelated
  • Supports the recruitment process from start to finish and provides salary recommendations based on internal equity and market data
  • Supports the design and development of accurate job descriptions and to ensure fair, equitable, and competitive total compensation that aligns with market data and the company's strategy and business goals
  • Provides strategic and operational support to managers and executives for workforce planning and succession planning
  • Facilitates and provides guidance on the midyear and yearend performance review processes
  • Works with managers to support performance management processes including Performance Improvement Plans, Development Plans and provides guidance on feedback for employees
  • Develops and implements the oncampus recruiting programs to ensure a strong slate of interns for all roles across the organization and works with internal teams and universities to organize and attend networking and information sessions
  • Leads the onboarding process for new employees and handles employee offboarding including exit interviews
  • Acts as a champion for DE&I initiatives within the organization, utilizing and updating HR datapoints and metrics to support these initiatives
  • Works closely and coordinates with the UK People team to support Private Infrastructure employees in London, UK; involved in the expatriation or repatriation of employees; coordinates with immigration consultants and global team members

Programs and Policies_

  • Works closely with the Global Learning & Development Manager to identify L&D needs for the team and supports the roll out of initiatives
  • Assists in the rollout of the Employee Engagement Survey; supports the delivery of results and helps to identify and implement action plans
  • Works with the General Counsel to update the Employee Handbook, including reviewing and adding policies from CBRE Canada and to update employment agreement templates to ensure compliance related training is completed

HR Administration_

  • Supports all staff on the Private Infrastructure team on all HRrelated matters including payroll and benefits, employment verification, CBRE HR systems, PTO entry and Manager Self-Service processes; works collaboratively with the centres of excellence for payroll, benefits and recruitment to address and resolve any issues
  • Organizes, maintains, updates and audits employee files and HR records
  • Supports the PTO tracking process by communicating reminders to employees on relevant policies and ensuring accuracy of vacation balances in the PTO tracking system, working with the benefits team to troubleshoot any discrepancies
  • Stays abreast of current government regulations; researches and proactively identifies improvements as they pertain to best practices in the industry

  • Works closely with data entry and payroll teams to submit employee or job changes, manager updates, special payments and salary updates
