The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team facilitates and advances person-centered care through evidence-based professional practice and learning strategies and programs that are designed provincially and implemented locally to enhance collaborative learning and practice.

The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team takes a leadership role in creating a culture of collaboration with a focus on team-based care, evidence-informed practice, and learning and professional development to improve health outcomes for patients, families and communities.

Through strong partnerships with the academic sector, regulators, and government, the Interprofessional Practice and Learning team has an integral role in influencing and operationalizing health system priorities.


About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Manager, Interprofessional Practice & Learning, Eastern Zone, the incumbent is accountable to provide confidential and administrative support to the activities and functions encompassed within the Professional Practice portfolio.


Duties include, but are not limited to:

reception, scheduling of meetings and appointments, preparing reports and correspondence, coordination of time entry for payroll, provision of support for select committees or quality teams, and circulation of departmental notifications.

This position requires liaising internally with health disciplines of all departments and externally with academic partners.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade 12 required
  • Successful completion of a medical office administration program or equivalent required
  • Minimum of three (3) years related secretarial experience required
  • Ability to transcribe reports and correspondence, with excellent grammar and spelling
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a high degree of tact, judgment, and confidentiality
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to set priorities
  • Ability to adapt to change and work independently with accuracy and efficiency
  • Ability to work well with deadline pressures without sacrificing work standards
  • A willingness to learn and develop new computer skills as required
  • Good attendance and work record.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours of Work:

Permanent, Full-Time (70 hours biweekly)
Beginning February 6, 2023.


Salary Information:

$ $24.31 hourly
$39,549 - $44,250 annually
