In accordance with established procedures, policies, standards and available tools, the incumbent is responsible for local sales through lead generation for maximum market penetration, while ensuring we are first to act for all-new area builds, within our current and expanded footprint.


Leveraging sales strategies to meet sales targets, the incumbent is expected to generate valid leads that enable Cogeco to sell and retain products and services in a timely and professional manner in their assigned area.

More specifically, the Market Development Sales Advisor is expected to acquire new partnerships with property developers, builders and property managers/superintendents,to maximize a wallet share approach and through daily relationship nurturing ensuring the maximum number of leads from each site on the program.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 1 Responsible for sales in assigned area(s)
:

including initiating contacts, generating and following up on leads, and conducting sales demos/presentations. Maximizing and maintaining a sales funnel of opportunities

  • 2 Develops new business opportunities including new partner prospects and cold calling.
  • 3 Responsible for the completion, submission and accuracy of all necessary leads activity reporting, agreements, and planning specs for assigned areas and partners in CRM tools (Salesforce, Matt, )


4- Building and fostering positive relationships with property developers, builders, building management and superintendents, identifying their needs and responding in a timely manner with the utmost professionalism.


5- Highlights and upsells the features and benefits of Cogeco products/services; motivates customers to choose Cogeco as their exclusive service provider.

Strives to retain customers wishing to cancel or downgrade their services.

6- Renew existing agreements(comp services etc) and negotiating increased sales initiatives events, superintendent trials etc

  • 7 Provide market intelligence to help combat competitors offers and strategies
8- Performs various administrative duties such as for all technical and sales activities. Maintains statistical paperwork, route sheets and customer work orders.

9- Educates customers on the use of all related Cogeco products and services.

10- Escalates issues as required to the appropriate Cogeco department or supplier and ensures the follow-up of outstanding issues.

  • 11 Escalates market intelligence to help combat competitors offers and strategies
  • 12 Represents Cogeo at community events within the territory, playing an active role within business associations, including attending events after hours
13- Attends Cogeco and Industry training and developmental events to maintain technical skills and knowledge. Provides reports on such activity.


14- As part of their work, employees must take all necessary measures to ensure their own health & safety and that of their co-workers and the public in general.

They must use available personal protective equipment at all times, and comply with all Health & Safety instructions, guidelines, policies and procedures issued by the company.


15- To support Cogeco's ultimate goal of providing excellent service to current and potential customers, the incumbent must be constantly attentive and responsive to both external and internal customers' needs and assist in the resolution of any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner while ensuring that the solution meets the customer's needs.


  • ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
ACADEMIC TRAINING- College Diploma or combination of equivalent education and work experience. Bilingualism would be an asset- WORK EXPERIENCE- Door to Door l sales, technical sales support and/or outbound telesales experience and/or working knowledge of the sales cycle and cross-selling skills would be an asset Minimum of 1 to 3 years experience in the telecom industry- SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES- negotiation, sales and influencing skills qualities. Working knowledge of MS Office. Working Knowledge of G-Suite of Products Experience with LANs, WANs and network implementation. Highly motivated, performance-driven with the ability to work under pressure. Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and identify sales opportunities. Strong listening and communication (verbal/written) skills. Demonstrated interpersonal skills with a winning professional customer service attitude. Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and resolve problems independently. Monitors own quality of work. Open to change with a learning attitude towards work and to contribute to teams.
