Position Overview:


Health and Safety Compliance Manager:


Overall, the Health and Safety Compliance Manager plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety within our organization and reducing the risk of workplace accidents and injuries.

They are responsible for maintaining compliance with regulations, protecting employees' well-being, and safeguarding the organization's reputation and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, develop as needed, and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with relevant regulations and standards especially pertaining to COR.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
  • Maintain, complete, and submit all COR audits to meet all compliance milestones.
  • Organize and oversee safety training sessions for employees as well as new employee orientation; ensuring awareness and adherence to safety protocols; schedule and book all refresher courses for existing employees; maintaining Employee H&S Certifications; and book all necessary courses for new hires.
  • Investigate all accidents, incidents, or near misses to determine their causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Communicate health and safety information effectively to employees, management, and relevant stakeholders. This may include preparing reports, conducting meetings, and maintaining documentation relating to health and safety activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as human resources, facilities management, and legal, to ensure comprehensive health and safety adherence and compliance across the organization.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for various scenarios, for example fires, natural disasters, or medical emergencies.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve health and safety performance through feedback, data analysis, and bench marking against industry standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and ensuring that the organization meets all legal requirements related to health and safety.
  • Coordinate the procurement and inventory management of safety supplies and equipment.
  • Regular monitoring to ensure all Danik employees are acting in adherence with rules and regulations.

Administrative Coordinator:


  • Oversee daily administrative operations, including but not limited to, project correspondence, project close out documentation, and uniform/clothing inventory recordkeeping.
  • Manage communication channels within the office and act as a liaison between various departments, GCs, and field personnel.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate files and documents.
  • Update AsBuilt CAD Drawings. If training is required, Danik will pay for all AutoCad courses.
  • Assist with Project Coordination administration.

Electrical Management Support:


  • Collaborate with the electrical office team to streamline project/office workflows and optimize efficiency.
  • Coordinate the procurement and inventory management of electrical supplies and equipment.
  • Training on Accubid Estimating Software to familiarize yourself with our Electrical Estimating Program.

Qualifications:


  • Knowledge or experience in office management and Business Administration or related field, preferably in an electrical or constructionrelated setting.
  • Certification or experience in health and safety (e.g., COR, OSHA) is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the COR certification program is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • If additional training is required for Health and Safety Compliance Manager to achieve necessary Health & Safety Compliance Office accreditation, the Company will pay for those courses.
