We are looking for an engaged individual to take on the role of
Regional Specialist.

Reporting to the Program Manager, this role is responsible for undertaking the management of specific projects or cases that are assigned to them regarding patient reimbursement, navigation of required resources and coordination for the NavieGo branch of the organization.

The Regional Specialist is responsible for overall management of their patient cases once prescribed Specialty products.


How you will make an impact

  • Liaise with the clinics (MDs, nurses, DAN's/DAC's and other office staff) to be the single point of contact with respect to the services of the Patient support program;
  • Interact directly with patients throughout their treatment journey to administer the services of our program and report back status updates to the clinics regularly;
  • Assists physicians and/or their staff to complete all relevant Patient Support Program forms (enrolment, consent, prescription, etc.) and all relevant drug reimbursement forms (special authorizations, public registration, renewals, etc.);
  • Ability to effectively interpret and describe a patient's medical history to complete necessary paperwork to obtain coverage;
  • Responding promptly and professionally to physicians and providing ongoing verbal/written on patient status throughout treatment journey;
  • Educate and update office staff on therapy guidelines and reimbursement criteria to manage expectations around access to medications;
  • Work collaboratively with commercial and medical teams around the Manufacturers components related to Key Account Planning/IFT's;
  • Educate customers (MD, nurses, DAN's/DAC's, pharmacists, other office staff, patients, etc) around the Patient Support program offering;
  • Conduct HCP educational events related to the Patient Support Program and attend educational events as required;
  • Attend related conferences and booth events as required;
  • Identify opportunities to customize current program elements to meet the needs of assigned clinics/

HCP:
adjust based on in clinic, HCP or patient needs; foster proactive continued quality improvement and conduct regular reviews with HCP;

  • Travel for onsite clinic visits; Work in the field and perform regular services calls with MD and/or Office staff as required;
  • Responsible for providing customized monthly reports to physicians and/or ad hoc as requested;
  • Work collaboratively with the program manager and other team members and functional areas to administer the services of the program;
  • Report Adverse Events/Severe Adverse events (AE/SAE) following approved SOPs;
  • Input timely updates to the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool;
  • Assist in training and development of new field staff members as required;
  • Completes required task completion in a timely fashion for all patients;
  • Responsible to report any patient safety information as per adverse event reporting requirements; and
  • Other duties as required.

What you'll bring to our team

  • HCP designation preferred but not required. (Preferred B.Sc., or Nursing or other HCP designation) with experience in Oncology;
  • Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industry with proven record of success (35 years);
  • Experience in reimbursement an asset;
  • Have the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at once with required urgency;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the proven ability to interact effectively with patients, HCP and others within the team;
  • Professional/courteous/efficient telephone manner;
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
  • Ability to handle a high caseload in a fastpaced, changing environment;
  • High attention to detail;
  • Ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently;
  • Ability to stay abreast of developments in health care, provincial and private payer markets;
  • Effective problem solving and critical thinking skill;
  • Political savvy and strong business acumen;
  • Ability to foster relationships and gain trust quickly;
  • Demonstrate patience and empathy; and,
  • Valid Driver's license and reliable vehicle as there will be occasional travel for onsite clinic visits.
