- Own key relationships to business for the cloud adoption with LOB roadmaps and business value realization strategies
- Collaborate with senior architects, senior developers, engineers, and product teams across organization to ensure successful adoption of Cloud capabilities.
- Represent the cloud team in Line of business architecture / design councils. Provide guidance on strategic alignment, technology choices and modernization in line with the Enterprise strategies and policies.
- Identify areas of improvements and/or possible risk and contribute to implementing solutions.
- Partner with finance, risk and PMO teams to build TCO and opportunities view of cloud for executives. Present in senior management forum.
- Contribute to training sessions and curriculum development to support enablement of developers.
- Participate in technology selection process and POCs
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience building strategies, leading large programs and executive level relationships
- Experience with architecting solutions for public cloud, private cloud and hybrid
- Experience working with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and cloud capabilities.
- Experience in implementing high availability and Disaster recovery solutions
- Experience with developing Cloud-native applications
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Financial services industry experience
- Infrastructure management experience
- AWS / Azure / GCP Solutions architect certification

What is the opportunity?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team focused on supporting the adoption of Cloud infrastructure and modern software development. The Cloud team at RBC is enabling teams across the organization to build next generation solutions. As a Cloud adoption lead, you will work closely with senior management, architects, developers, engineers and product teams across organization to ensure successful adoption of Cloud capabilities. Seize a unique highly visible opportunity to learn and work with a broad range of asset classes and technologies that support our hybrid multi-cloud strategy, creating differentiated services and quantifiable business value.
What will you do? Partner with leads within cloud team and across Enterprise teams such as Enterprise architecture, IT Risk, Security, Governance and contribute to RBC's hybrid cloud strategy in building new capabilities, products and automation.
