Maintenance Lead - Toronto, Canada - O'Doughs

Key AccountabilitiesTo ensure all equipment operates safely and all plant GMP standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination for all 3rd party facility related contractor/service provider activities/contracts/projects. (including, but not limited to, pest control, uniforms, all utilities)
- Maintenance, inclusive of development of PM and managing ongoing maintenance projects/requirements.
- Onboarding of new equipment, including coordination with QA and production and development of related employee training.
- Provides mechanical support to all departments within the facility
- Prevent premature breakdown of the equipment used in production and to operate the facility through continual preventative maintenance
- Ensure a safe work environment through effective maintenance of equipment
- Correct unsafe working conditions
- Trouble shoot any mechanical breakdown in the production process to ensure mínimal loss in manufacturing of our products
- Assist in the installation of any new equipment in the facility
- Understands the mechanics of our facilities processing and packaging equipment and is able to maintain it
- Take part as an active member of continuous improvement teams
- Ensure GMP s and safe food handling practices are being followed
- All tools to be cleaned and maintained in good repair.
- Report any broken, damaged, or missing tools to your supervisor. Do not discard any damaged or broken tools.
- Follow all GMPs including maintaining personal hygiene, handwashing/sanitizing hands, clean up spills (ie: ingredients, water, debris and wood)
- Report any foreign material findings
- As part of food security, report any unusual people or behaviours to your supervisor
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Good mechanical aptitude and dexterity
- Service & Performance oriented
- High sense of urgency
- Effective communicator must discuss potential problems effectively.
- Education, Technical Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Proficiency Level
- Required
- Must hold a valid license, or proof of license from any province or country
- Certificate of Qualifications, Ontario Industrial Mechanic Millwright
- Previous Bakery experience preferred.
