We are currently looking for a Manager Governance & Risk in a permanent position to join the Eastern Clean Energy Initiative (ECEI) team.

Reporting to the VP Finance & Commercial, you will be responsible for coordinating the effort of the Senior Leadership Team with respect to internal governance and the risk management process.


Key accountabilities include:

Continuously improve the projects' risk strategy, policy, and governance programs.

Oversee ECEI's risk assessment program in order to define, identify, and classify critical assets, assess threats and vulnerabilities and implement appropriate safeguards.

Prepare monthly reports for the senior management team and provide a quarterly risk assessment and compliance update.

Manage the reporting of corporate risks of the project and ensure that risk reviews are being completed accurately by Project Managers.

Ensure there is consistent reporting for internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to; Executive Leadership team, Board of Directors, and governments.

Consistently communicate complex information to the senior leadership team in a clear and concise manner.


You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of your co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.

You will be accountable for environmental performance as it relates to the environmental management system processes and initiatives.


Competencies, Education, and Experience:


You can understand complex and multi-disciplined specialty areas (engineering, legal, regulatory, financial) and distill information in concise and factual manner for project management, risk and regulatory purposes.

You can exercise a high degree of confidentiality given sensitive nature of information and the audience for materials.
