Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) is excited to engage with riders and Edmontonians at community events and major festivals throughout spring and summer 2024
Supporting ETS' ridership experience initiatives, you will coordinate and execute on site activities with festival and event organizers, with a focus on connecting with riders and residents throughout spring and summer.
In addition, you will be on site at festivals, events, attractions and transit stations representing ETS and having conversations with current and future transit riders.
As a part of this team, you will:
- Under the direction of the ETS Customer Engagement Associate, work with internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute ETS' participation in community events, festivals and partner initiatives. This includes the development of marketing materials, signage, and coordinating on site activities and engagement initiatives.
- Act as the liaison between external stakeholders and ETS when planning and executing youth engagement initiatives
- Represent and promote ETS at various community events, festivals, events, attractions and transit facilities
- Provide transit information to and assist riders of all ages and abilities with navigating ETS as needed
- Support ETS ridership experience initiatives by promoting ETS as safe, reliable and convenient, to current and potential riders.
- Monitor and track the performance outreach activities
- Provide support to other areas within ETS on an asneeded basis
- Perform other duties as required to support ETS Customer Engagement & Retention programs
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment fulltime at a postsecondary institution, in a business, marketing, communications, or related postsecondary diploma or degree program
- Experience with marketing, event planning and execution and execution of action plans
- Experience interacting with the general public
Assets
- Experience using public transit including a working knowledge of transit routes and services, information tools for trip planning, and fare products
- Access to a vehicle to transport collateral to community events, festivals and transit stations, as needed

Conditions of Employment:
- This position will be a combination of working from home and onsite working conditions
- Hire is dependent upon a Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector check satisfactory to the City of Edmonton
- Position will require some evening and weekend work
Additional Details:
Hours of Work: 40 Hours per week, Monday - Friday, with the ability to work evenings and weekends when required
