Since 1984 the Comox Valley Food Bank Society has been gathering and purchasing quality food for distribution for people in need in our community.

Job description

The Comox Valley Food Bank, a non-profit organization is looking for a full-time driver to operate our refrigerated delivery van.

The van is used to pick up donations of food from various vendors in the Comox Valley, home deliveries, and occasional bulk food pick ups in Nanaimo.

Responsibilities, Qualification, and Skills
Must have a valid Class 5 drivers license

Air brake experience and certification preferred, not mandatory

Additional driver classifications preferred

Lift gate operation and pallet jack experience a must

Possess time management skills to manage time and routes for a streamlined delivery

Ability to work well independently

Ability to interact with our external contacts in a courteous, respectful and professional manner.

Comply with all safe driving rules of the road

Mon-Friday starting as early as 6:30AM

Hours will vary 6 to 8 hours per day.

Occasionally extended hours may be required.

Some warehousing duties daily
