  • Here's how you will make a positive impact on a day-to-day basis:

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate activities and experiences to meet individual and group needs of all children and families of a childcare program.
  • Guide and care for a group of children ages 3 months to school age
  • Encourage learning and develop positive self-concepts for children
  • Ensure a healthy and safe environment for children
  • Maintain effective and cooperative team work and communication
  • Maintain positive and supportive relationships with parents and families
  • In addition to being a wonderful and positive person & team player, you must have:

  • Licenses & Certifications: ECE Infant / Toddler | Childcare First Aid | Food Safe
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication
  • Strong knowledge and awareness of:
  • Emergent curriculum and the BC Early Learning Framework
  • Developmental needs of children
  • Family engagement strategies and parenting issues and needs
  • Guiding and caring strategies
  • Knowledge of broader child care field and its role in the community
  • Additional skills and experiences may include:

  • Special Needs certification & license (or working towards it)
  • Child care experience working in an inclusive child care setting
  • Second Language
  • Terms of Employment:

  • Salary: $ 27.09 per hour plus employer paid health and welfare benefits. In addition, you will receive $6 per hour in Provincial ECE Wage Enhancement.
  • Permanent full-time (37.5 hours per week)
  • Starting: June 6, 2024
  • You will work at multisite locations for all of programs, Infant/Toddler/3 to 5 programs.
