As a Claims Analyst, you will be able to contribute to the company's growth by effectively and proactively managing a variety of files such as life and disability claims.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

Assess disability and life claims and determine eligibility for benefits while considering medical information, certificate of insurance provisions and the collection of additional information in order to make an informed decision;
Actively and proactively manage claims and make use of all available resources as well as collaborate with medical consultants as needed;
Analyze, evaluate and make decisions on claims through discretionary decision making and utilizing your excellent verbal and written skills.

What do I need in order to succeed in this role?

Minimum 35 years related experience in claims, insurance, financial services or relevant experience in the health field,
College diploma or undergraduate degree or equivalent
Fluency in French both written and verbal communication
Critical thinking, analysis and decisionmaking ability
Superior organizational skills and ability to multitask.

- a customer focused approach and the ability to deal effectively with customers who may be under stress.

What would be a nice to have but not required:

LOMA level 1 and CSI, ICA 1&3 (an asset)
Medical knowledge
