Area Surface Land Administrator

The Opportunity:

Canadian Natural has an excellent opportunity for a Surface Land Area Administrator to join our Calgary team.

You will demonstrate a positive attitude, a high level of integrity in dealing with confidential documents, and be able to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.

Professionalism, solid communication skills and the ability to work in a group environment, along with accuracy and attention to detail are essential.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Respond to and address inquiries from landman, landowners, lawyers, Crown agencies and service companies
  • Accurately administer and maintain surface/easement files and associated databases (including registrations, vendors, cheques, etc.)
  • Assist various groups within CNRL to ensure capital, maintenance and integrity projects are tracked and completed
  • Ensure monthly reports are completed
  • Attend and contribute to meetings
  • Other projects as required
  • Perform all duties with the highest degree of accuracy while meeting deadlines

Other Details:


  • Job location: Calgary, Alberta
  • Shift schedule: 5 day on, 2 days off
  • Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
  • Eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural's Relocation Regular Policy

Skills & Qualifications:


  • Minimum 510 Years of Surface Land experience


  • Education

  • Petroleum Land / Land Analyst Certificate or similar
  • Familiarity with Rules, Acts, Directives, etc. relating to third party agreements
  • Experience using QBLM or Qbyte land systems, Microsoft office, Adobe, general computer skills
