We are seeking a talented and experienced 3D Environment Modeler to join our team.

As a 3D Environment Modeler, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, detailed, and immersive virtual environments for our clients.

You should have a strong understanding of 3D modeling techniques and the ability to bring your vision to life.

Our studio is located in the trendy Mount Pleasant area just a short walk away from the Main Street-Science World Skytrain Station.

Job Title
:3D Environment Modeler (Remote)

What You'll Do:

  • Work closely with the creative team to understand the project requirements and deliverables.
  • Interpret client provided 2D designs/reference material and translate them into 3D models
  • Create detailed and accurate models using 3D modeling software such as Maya and ZBrush.
  • Create texture maps, materials, and lighting to bring your models to life.
  • Work together with the team to ensure the project is delivered on time and to the highest quality.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other departments to ensure assets are production ready
  • Provide input and feedback to developers to create/test modeling tools for our remote pipeline solution

What You Need:

  • Professional experience as a Modeler focused on environments and hard surface.
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Maya and ZBrush.
  • Ability to take direction and provide a consistent quality of work
  • Proficient in hard surface modeling techniques and topology
  • Solid understanding of displacement map and normal map generation
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills and problemsolving abilities
  • Thorough understanding of industry standards and best practices
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise between management and staff
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask
  • Must be able to adapt to various artistic styles for a variety of project types
  • A link to your demo reel/portfolio showcasing your recent 3D modeling work

Nice To Have:

  • Experience working in game engine such as Unreal Engine and/or Unity
  • Experience with Marvelous Designer and UV Layout is a plus
  • Experience with Houdini is a plus
