The role
Shaw Communications has an exciting 12-month temporary opportunity as a Collections Analyst.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Collections, the Collections Analyst is responsible for managing the performance of our third-party collections vendors, acting as a liaison for the assigned vendors and other stakeholders.

As a Collections Analyst you will document and analyze all collections related business processes, leveraging appropriate methodologies to drive operational effectiveness.

You will independently analyze, visualize, and communicate data trends, whilst identifying issues and opportunities for enhancement.

A typical day

  • Coordinating and managing the performance of thirdparty collections vendors
  • Liaise with assigned vendors as well as internal and external stakeholders
  • Leveraging collections and business data for analysis and Interpretation
  • Facilitate presentations and communicate to tell the story within the data to different stakeholder groups
  • Utilize bestpractices when developing SQL to access data housed within large databases such as Snowflake, and EDW
  • Familiar with Business Process Methodology Documentation and best practices
  • Prioritize and meet deadlines while managing multiple collectionsrelated tasks and projects
  • Successfully resolve issues, diagnose business problems, plan, document and deliver solutions in a timely manner
Your skills/experience
1-3 years of consumer risk experience is preferred

  • Demonstrated competency in data analysis
  • Experience with business process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, BPMN 2.0)
  • Experience developing SQL to access data within large databases including Snowflake, EDW
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite of Products: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
  • Problemsolving, curiosity and strong critical thinking skills required
  • Strong business acumen to enable swift execution of business objectives and goals
  • Diligent and agile while working efficiently in a fastpaced, startup environment
  • Willingness to quickly upskill on new knowledge and processes
  • Telecommunications industry experience is an asset
