About This Opportunity:


In this role, you will support with the preparation of the annual budget, monthly forecasts and variance analysis on key performance metrics, including operating expenses (OPEX) and Direct Marketing Expenses (DME) for the Commercial and Sales departments.


Responsibilities:


  • Drive and coordinate the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process by partnering closely with the Commercial and Sales departments
  • Lead monthly OPEX reviews and provide valueadded variance analysis, reporting and recommendations to departmental leads on OPEX analysis
  • Proactively identify trends, opportunities and risks by providing financial impact analysis
  • Ensure billings to/from franchise partners (The Coca-Cola Company, Canada Dry and Monster) are up to date, tracked and reconciled on a regular basis
  • Develop processes and tools to drive ownership of OPEX management with business partners
  • Support development of a new activitybased costing tool

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree; concentration in Accounting or Finance is an asset
  • 3+ years experience in accounting or financial analysis role
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Detailorientated and with excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to set up data in an organized fashion for summarizing results as well as allowing for drilling down into details in order to understand variances
  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles
  • CPA designation or actively working towards is an asset
  • Experience with SAP is an asset
