    Accounting Analyst (SOX Controls)

This is the job for you We are currently looking for an Accounting Analyst for one of our clients in the mining and metal industry.

    What is in it for you:


    • Hourly salary of $40 to $45, based on experience.
    • 6-month contract.
    • Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
    Hybrid work: 2 days per week at the office.

    Responsibilities:


    • Ensure the timely completion of daily, monthly, and quarterly activities related to operational management controls, and conduct thorough follow-ups to ensure compliance.
    • Utilize your leadership, technical skills, and effective communication to influence the organization to enhance existing control processes while maintaining the coverage of associated risks.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to address any identified discrepancies promptly and effectively.
    What you will need to succeed:


    • Bachelor's degree in finance, administration, or a related field.
    • 2-5 years of experience in compliance, accounting, sales, or a related field, with demonstrated aptitude for communication and customer service.
    • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Familiarity with SAP.
    • Ability to address sensitive issues with various business groups effectively.
    • Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written).
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
    • Capacity to maintain productive working relationships with colleagues.
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, work autonomously, and take proactive initiatives.
    • Quick adaptability to diverse situations and a willingness to learn.
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, demanding, and evolving environment.
