Our private school is looking to hire an additional

_daytime janitorial/maintenance team member _for a 6 -8 hour-a-day shift. Hours for the daytime shift can range from/between 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM.

We are looking for motivated individuals who are reliable, trustworthy, & would strive to exceed client expectations. You must be hard working with the ability to endure the physical demands of cleaning.

Our school is like a 2nd home for our students, our staff and our families, and we take great pride in ensuring it is a place that represents this.

Job responsibilities include:

Cleaning and disinfecting all surface areas, including bathrooms, common kitchens/eating areas (staff room, student lounge & office), desks, and conference rooms:

Replacing
toilet paper, hand soap, and hand towels in student, office and staff washrooms

Sweeping & mopping all floors with a particular focus on washrooms, hallways, stairwells and entrances

Checking washrooms every hour to ensure cleanliness and functionality:

Vacuuming hallway carpets, classroom carpets, and office area carpets:

Sweeping and mopping the Gymnasium each shift

Picking up any
garbage (inside and outside) and emptying the trash into the large bins in our parking area:
Ensuring that the
table tops in the Lion's Cafe & student lounge are wiped:

Cleaning windows, glass cabinets, bathroom mirrors and the glass areas on doors our school entrances and classrooms:

Responding to employee and/ or student requests

Job Requirements:

A criminal/police record check is mandatory.
Previous cleaning experience is required.
TB Test and confirmation, as well as overall good health
Team oriented, as you will be working with a team of cleaners who ensure that the school is ready every day and night.
Responsible, ontime and reliable/trustworthy.
A positive and kind approach to staff, students, and parents is essential. Our students and teachers get to know our cleaning team and they are a very integral part of our school community.
