The Opportunity:
School Nurse in the U.S. (TN Visa Sponsored)
We are actively recruiting Canadian Registered Nurses (RNs) for full-time, on-site School Nurse roles at our U.S. partner school districts.
This position is filled under the TN (Trade NAFTA/USMCA) Visa, exclusively available to Canadian citizens — making this one of the most accessible U.S.
work visa pathways for Canadian healthcare professionals.

As a School Nurse, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Managing student health records and administering prescribed medications
Responding to medical needs, injuries, and health emergencies
Designing and delivering health and wellness programs for students
Conducting routine health screenings and maintaining a safe school environment
Partnering with students, parents, and staff to support overall student well-being
Who Qualifies — TN Visa Requirements (Canadian Citizens Only)
To be eligible for this sponsored position under the USMCA (formerly NAFTA) TN Professional Visa, you must meet all of the following:
Citizenship:
Must be a Canadian citizen. Permanent residents of Canada or the U.S. are not eligible for TN visa status.
Education & Licensure:
Must hold one of the following:
A valid Canadian Provincial Registered Nurse license, OR
A valid or eligible U.S. state RN license (a temporary license or authorization may be accepted during the TN application process)
NCLEX-RN:
Must have passed, or be prepared to take, the NCLEX-RN examination
VisaScreen Certificate:
Must obtain — or be in the process of obtaining — a VisaScreen Certificate from CGFNS International (or approved equivalent), which verifies that your nursing education, licensure, and English proficiency meet U.S.
standardsImportant:
The TN Visa is a temporary, non-immigrant visa. Applicants must demonstrate intent to work temporarily in the U.S. and return to Canada upon conclusion of their authorized stay.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in pediatric nursing, public health, or school-based nursing
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and families
Comfortable working independently in a school setting
