Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the Production Scheduler and Lead Material Handler & Receiver to prioritize job orders and other projects.
  • Help facilitate and organize the daily plan to complete tasks.
  • Cutting and issuing raw material to jobs; allocating remaining material to correct location.
  • Transfer raw material.
  • Print labels for all raw material going into inventory.
  • Advise the Lead Material Handler & Receiver when maintenance or repairs are required on the saw machines, forklifts and bay doors.
  • Prepare and organize for physical year end inventory counts.
  • Cycle count raw material inventory as required.
  • Assist in organizing raw materials storage systems.
  • Use portable hardness tester to pass/fail material requirements.
  • Clean saws and work area.
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.
  • Receive raw material, allocate NI#'s, and Maintain Traceability (Heat Number identification and serialization).
  • Receive subcontract jobs and inform the appropriate groups of goods received.

  • Comply with all HSE, QMS and Corporate policies at Norquest.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisors or managers.

Qualifications:


  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Overhead crane experience is an asset.
  • Saw cutting experience.
  • Works well in varying degrees of urgency.
  • Knowledge of measuring tools (IE: tape measure & micrometers).

$19.00-$22.00 per hour
