    Description

    We are currently seeking a dedicated and highly motivated professional to join the JD Residencies team. As the Hotel Manager role, you will work with and develop a team to provide exceptional service and ensuring smooth running of the hotel's day-to-day operations, meeting targeted objectives by optimizing occupancy, conducting new sales and revenue, and ensuring a strong reputation of the hotel and your staff.

    Job Responsibilities:

    · Trouble-shoot any issues arising in hotel operations

    · Plan, implement and manage overall day-to-day hotel operations

    · Liaise with contractors and suppliers

    · Supervise any maintenance work and renovations

    . Safeguard security and compliance, conducting inspections where necessary

    · Managing budgets and controlling expenditure

    · Conducting and Bringing in new sales, business and clients.

    · Tracking hotel revenues, setting sales targets and optimizing profits

    · Analyzing sales figures, reports and the different market segments and channels to define the best-suited pricing and distribution strategies

    · Defining the staff rotations and working around holiday absences

    · Monitoring and motivating staff with constructive communication in a positive work environment and a shared vision of targets and career progression

    · Meeting and greeting guests with a warm welcome

    · Being attentive to guests' needs and wishes, taking opportunities to optimize the guest experience

    · Addressing complaints with a personal touch to restore customer satisfaction

    · Keeping a watchful eye on both competitors and technological trends and innovations in hospitality with a view to leveraging any insights to build customer relations

    · Managing the hotel's online presence and generating an online buzz through special offers and promotions

    · Ensuring all customer enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner and customer-oriented responses are issued for any unsatisfactory reviews

    · Pursuing strategic branding endeavors

    . Oversee daily rate changes and Revenue Management

    · Talent-spotting and recruiting

    · Supervise the day-to-day operation of all assigned staff including: shift scheduling for regular and peak/holiday seasons for managing holiday absences, assigning and reviewing of tasks, conduct employee evaluations, onboard and train staff on new and existing processes

    · Investing effort in employee engagement and retention in collaboration with HR.

    · Manage and track hotel inventory, maintain statistical records Assist team in managing large reservations.

    · Ensure safety and adherence to rules and regulations, and compliance to policies and procures.

    · Perform front-counter duties such as handling escalations and answering inquiries face-to-face and via telephone in a timely manner

    · Monitor online reviews, acknowledge, and investigate any negative feedback on various platforms such as Trip Advisor

    Key Qualifications:

    · Bachelor's degree or diploma in hospitality, hotel/restaurant management or business management or at least 2 years of recent and relevant experience

    · Adept in technology, hospitality market trends, and industry competitors

    · Must be well-versed in 3rd party channels such as Expedia, etc.

    · Experience in leading a team and/or processes and knowledge of shift scheduling

    · Exceptional customer service and communication skills with a strong attention to detail

    · Cash handling and basic math skills Experience in concierge or front-desk services highly valued

    · Must be fluent in English (written and verbal). Knowledge of other languages is highly valued

    · Ability to problem solve and make decisions independently

    · Must have the ability to work flexible hours and be available during off days to respond to any guest or employee emergencies

    · Must have a hands-on approach
