AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Reporting to the Deck/Beach Supervisor/RecreationProgrammer/Recreation Coordinator, Supervise and maintain a safe, enjoyable environment for all users.

Supervise participants and maintain complete vigilance to minimize risks, and be ready to respond at all times
Assist with the facilitation of the Aquatic Admission Standards testing during swims
Maintain a safe and tidy program space ensuring equipment is setup and stored appropriately
Provide a high level of front line customer service including greeting and engaging participants
Understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures and Health and Safety Standards for all participants and staff
Attend meetings/training as required
Performs other duties as assigned

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Minimum 15 years of age
Current Standard First Aid / CPR C from an accredited organization, or ability to obtain within 1 month of date of hire
Current Lifesaving Society Bronze Cross, or ability to obtain within 1 month of date of hire
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
