Eaton's ESSG CA Canada division is currently seeking a Electrical Assembler - Day Shift.


What you'll do:


  • Position Overview:
  • The Electrical Assembler is responsible for the safety of the electrical systems so they must know and adhere to government regulations, building codes, and safety rules.
  • In this function you will:
  • Cross check electrical and mechanical components required for the build against the bill of material.
  • Layout enclosures and sub panels for assembly/cutouts based on information provided.
  • Wire equipment with proper voltage level, current level and industry standard colour code per drawings provided.
  • Organize circuitry within panels for proper voltage level separation.
  • Escalate schematic concerns as appropriate via correct channel(s).
  • Repair and modify any errors detected by test/inspection.
  • Work to CSA and UL code.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the internal KANBAN process.
  • Use various electrical components, gauges, and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
  • Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary.
  • Assist with onthejob training and continuous improvement.
  • Follow standard layouts as required.
  • Perform pull test on wire when completed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:


  • Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of 1 control wiring experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret bill of materials, and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing processes and Six Sigma Tools.

Skills:


  • Position Criteria:
  • Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
  • Able to accurately layout, mount, wire, and troubleshoot industrial power and control components.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced/changing environment.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Good PC skills, including MS office (Word, Excel and Power Point).
  • Effective time management and project management skills.
