Eaton's ESSG CA Canada division is currently seeking a Electrical Assembler - Day Shift.

What you'll do:

Position Overview:
The Electrical Assembler is responsible for the safety of the electrical systems so they must know and adhere to government regulations, building codes, and safety rules.
In this function you will:
Cross check electrical and mechanical components required for the build against the bill of material.
Layout enclosures and sub panels for assembly/cutouts based on information provided.
Wire equipment with proper voltage level, current level and industry standard colour code per drawings provided.
Organize circuitry within panels for proper voltage level separation.
Escalate schematic concerns as appropriate via correct channel(s).
Repair and modify any errors detected by test/inspection.
Work to CSA and UL code.
Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the internal KANBAN process.
Use various electrical components, gauges, and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary.
Assist with onthejob training and continuous improvement.
Follow standard layouts as required.
Perform pull test on wire when completed.
Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of 1 control wiring experience.
High School Diploma or equivalency.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret bill of materials, and engineering drawings.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing processes and Six Sigma Tools.

Skills:

Position Criteria:
Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
Able to accurately layout, mount, wire, and troubleshoot industrial power and control components.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced/changing environment.
Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Good PC skills, including MS office (Word, Excel and Power Point).
Effective time management and project management skills.
