The Social Media Lead brings to life TWN and MM's voice, turning ideas into action to grow our presence and reach through social media and community outreach.

You lead the development of our social media strategy, including content distribution strategy, editorial calendars and tactical plans. You are the eyes and ears of the company's brand in the rapidly evolving social media environment.

Passionate about weather, and with a consumer-focused orientation, this position will drive our reach and engagement across all social platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snap Chat, YouTube and Pinterest.


WHAT'S THE DAY TO DAY LIKE?:


  • Mentor, lead and inspire a social media team so they are working to their full potential
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media strategy and process. Responsible for providing the primary voice of the company across the applicable social media platforms and specialize in curating a variety of content across the social web to support the organization's content marketing initiatives
  • Support TWN and MM overall brand initiatives with a strong social component that resonates with our target audience and grows our engagement with them on existing and new social media platforms
  • Lead the content creation process with internal and external creative partners
  • Schedule and coordinate brainstorming meetings to establish and create an active and relevant social media editorial calendar
  • Identify authoritative and influential individuals and brands on the social web and implement a social networking and influencer strategies to facilitate and nurture strategic partnerships
  • Drive best practices for consumer response and look for ways to convert inquiring consumers into brand fans. Monitor and respond to customer service and reputation management issues on the social web using social listening tools
  • Analysis and reporting is key working with analytical tools, measure ROI of social platforms and campaigns to identify opportunities and optimizations then transform plans into actions Monitor and measure the success of social media strategy (i.e. increased engagement, customer acquisition, website traffic etc.) and provide regular reporting to the internal team
  • Implement and maintain the content strategy, proactively address issues, recommend solutions, and help to establish & maintain best practices
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive activities in social media and inform management of competitive landscape, opportunities and threats
  • Work with Partners to create and execute social campaigns to benefit both TWN/MM and partner organizations. i.e. Red Cross, Ride Don't Hide, CAMH,
  • Roles, responsibilities and duties may evolve and change over time_

WE ARE HOPING YOU HAVE:


  • University degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business or equivalent working experience
  • Minimum of 35 years' experience in Digital Marketing working with social platforms and brands
  • Familiarity and hands on experience with leading social measurement and analytics tools such as HootSuite, Simply Measured, TrackMaven, Radian6 and Sysomos
