Objective:
To provide assistance and support in all areas of the plant in manufacturing as well as maintenance duties. This job involves tasks that require physical strength and effort beyond that of cleaner.
Work to be performed:
The following reflects the principal duties and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all work requirements, nor does it imply that all workers in this category perform all of these functions.
- Operate and/or assist in operating various tools, equipment, lifting devices, saws, woodworking tools etc.
- Complete appropriate paperwork as directed.
- Perform tasks that require physical labour (eg. emptying garbage, sweeping, shoveling, cleaning, flipping sheet stock); may be required to perform strenuous manual labour such as digging, maintaining the building or property.
- Perform simple repairs to tools, product parts, equipment, machinery and/or parts of the building or furnishings, such as repairs to file cabinets, doors etc.
- May assist with duties of other workers including, but not limited to, duties of Material Services (Receiving, Stores), Shippers, Fab Techs, Fitters etc.
- Provide preventative and corrective maintenance and repair to buildings and facilities. Performing routine, on-demand and preventative maintenance of building systems; troubleshooting and repairing various building systems and components.
- May perform any duties as required by the company.
Education / Experience:
- Equivalent to 4 years high school
- 6 months related experience would be an asset
- Must have a valid Gas Fitters 2 License (G2).
- Must be willing to work occasional weekends.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
