Joining Beehive Support Service Association as a
Complex Needs Worker means becoming an important part of our dedicated team.

In addition to a developmental disability these Individuals might need additional supports due to complex behavioural needs, medical needs, a mental health diagnoses or a physical disability.


As a Complex Needs Worker, you would:

  • Identify behaviors of concern, develop, review, and monitor plans that assist Individuals in managing behaviors or situations of concern
  • Assist or provide full support in personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist or provide full support to Individuals to maintain health (medical appointments, medication administration, education around healthy eating and emotional supports
  • Provide some aspects of home maintenance and support Individuals in their daily routines such as meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, and laundry
  • Assist Individuals in the development of social skills and meaningful relationships
  • Assist Individuals in managing their person affairs, such as banking, budgeting, paying bills, etc.
  • Support Individuals in knowing their rights, voice their thoughts, needs and advocate for the services they require

Qualifications:


  • Diploma or equivalent formal education in a relevant discipline is preferred as well as specialized training or experience working with Individuals with cognitive and/or physical challenges.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with Individuals with Disabilities or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
  • Welldeveloped and effective communication skills (written and oral)
  • Demonstrated skill in critical thinking
  • Criminal Record Check Must Be Brought to Interview
  • Child Welfare Intervention Check Must Be Brought to Interview
  • Willing to obtain First Aid Certificate
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Foundations

Salary:
$22.29-$24.95 per hour
