Role and Responsibilities


Here is the essential duties and responsibilities:
Support the CM team in the review and establishment of CM processes, procedures and plans.
Participate in Configuration Management and Change Management boards to: Review and approve Engineering changes affecting configuration items;
Ensure that the integrity of existing baselines is not affected;
Follow-up on issues and actions assigned to project members during CCB through to closure.

Provide support to Project Managers and teams in tracking and control of configuration data needed to management projects and to keep customers informed.

Support and promote the goals, principles and actions required to make CM part of the company's culture.
Perform configuration audits and report on findings.
Identify and communicate baseline deficiencies, raise corrective action request, and follow-up.
Perform project reporting on the status of baselines and changes requests.
Execute CM activities in accordance with the approved CM plan.
Work closely with customers and the project team regarding CM matters.


Requirements:

Bilingualism in both French and English is required.

University degree in computer sciences, or equivalent combination of college education and experience, and at least two years of experience in software development or configuration management.

Knowledge of systems/software development life cycle and development methodologies.
Knowledge of Configuration Management processes and procedures.
Proficiency in MS Office productivity tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio).

CAE employees must be able to meet the requirements of the Canada Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and in certain cases, ITAR requirements.
