The Leader, Provincial Digital Solutions leads and co-ordinates all aspects of the current initiatives undertaken by the Remote Patient Monitoring team within the Provincial Health Systems in support of strategic initiatives, programs, and projects.

The Leader collaborates to find virtual health solutions that will address clinical needs and clinical requirements that have been identified.

The Leader works with multiple stakeholders to enable virtual health solutions for effective implementation in the clinical setting.

The Leader ensures that the deliverables are completed on time and on budget and identifies and tracks metrics as they relate to the program deliverables.

The Leader cultivates and manages key stakeholder relationships; utilizes and applies project/product management principles and professional expertise; manage product backlogs, provides leadership, advice and guidance on various virtual health initiatives; and creates and updates various documents/resources as well as monitors and reports on the status of strategic activities.


What you'll do

  • Identifies and manages key stakeholder relationships and collaborates with clinical programs and key support areas including the digital solutions team, IMITS, Security, Procurement, Privacy, Legal to negotiate/facilitate resolution of any impediments to progress and success.
  • Liaises with organizations, agencies and the communities to identify and document deliverables including issue discussion and resolution, in support of efficient and effective execution of the initiative.
  • Provides leadership by giving advice or guidance in situations that require interpretation and judgment.
  • Leads and/or coordinates the evidencebased planning and design of the assigned initiatives. Establishes detailed project charters, project plans and objectives to outline timelines and deliverables related to virtual health initiatives. Executes project plan according to project management methodologies, ensures successful and coordinated completion of components, consults with stakeholders as needed and ensures readiness for virtual health implementation.
  • Tracks progress according to plans for virtual health initiatives and identified metrics. Monitors and reports on the status of initiatives and major barriers encountered. Makes recommendations to Director regarding scope and related changes required to facilitate a successful outcome of virtual health initiatives. Implements or contributes to the implementation of effective processes to assess risks, identify risk mitigation strategies and monitor risk throughout the virtual health initiatives lifecycle.
  • Participates in the development and monitoring of implementation budgets within the context of operations demands and environmental and resource constraints and uses best practice methods to thoroughly monitor and adhere to allocated budgets.

What you bring

Qualifications:


A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration or relevant health care discipline with a minimum of five (5) year's recent, related experience in project/product management and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups.

Project/Product Management Professional designation and experience with virtual health considered an asset.

  • Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission's 94 Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Sight Report (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), and Reclaiming Power and Place Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls calls for justice, and how they intersect across the health care system.
  • Supports team members on their learning journey, ensuring education strategy for team/department to implement Indigenous Cultural Safety at a practical level.
  • Works collaboratively with appropriate Indigenous teams/departments to ensure ICS lens applied holistically.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act
