Qualifications:
***Post-graduate qualifications in inclusive education or a related field. PhD preferred.
- Substantive experience working or teaching in the K12 education system
- An active or developing research agenda in the area of inclusive education
- A commitment to service, teamwork, and developing relationships within the faculty, university, and the broader K12 community
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
Assets:
***Experience in schools providing Inclusive Education and/or Inclusive Education Leadership
- Evidence of successful teaching at the postsecondary level
- Commitment to addressing current issues such as inclusive education, decolonization, culturally responsive teaching approaches, social justice, diverse/marginalized groups
- Knowledge and experience of universal design for learning (UDL), differentiated instruction, and using assistive technology in classrooms
- Knowledge of inclusive educational assessment
- Knowledge of distance mediated learning
- Lived experience of disability, Indigeneity, or other diverse experiences
