Permanent Full-Time Position

Responsibilities:

Serves as the main point of contact for service requests or business systems problems. Must be able to perform initial investigation/analysis (or resolution) and escalate issues where necessary.
Plans and implements technical changes and work requests.
BAs in this highly complex business environment are involved in a multitude of concurrent projects, initiatives, and tasks. High expectations are placed upon the BA to learn new concepts and technology quickly while effectively managing their time to meet aggressive and competing deadlines.
Represents the business in a lead role during the definition, planning, and implementation of solutions. Partners with Business Technology Services, WCB management, service providers and key stakeholders.
Conducts analysis, develops costweighted and riskaware recommendations for business process improvement, process definition or system changes.
Authors, reviews, approves, and facilitates the creation of deliverables throughout the project.
Performs requirements gathering, costbenefit analysis, impact analysis, data trend analysis, risk analysis and mitigation.
Acts as project team lead and applies systematic project management principles, including risk management and mitigation, scope and quality control, time/resource management, gap and impact analysis.
Leads acceptance testing and provides signoff on behalf of the WCB.
Maintains a working knowledge of current WCB policies, procedures, and business strategy.

Required experience and skills:

You have outstanding conceptual and analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
You have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

The following experience and skills are assets:

Experience participating in WCB projects.
Postsecondary degree or diploma in a discipline related to Information Systems such as Business (MIS) or Computing Science. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Minimum three to five years' experience in a complex business or IT environment.
Highly developed understanding of requirements/information gathering, business, system, and process analysis, and business automation.
A strong understanding and experience with user acceptance testing.
Experience with SQL, C#, SAS, Python, or other programming languages.
Demonstrate initiative and problemsolving skills when presented with a challenging task.
Proven ability to lead projects using fundamental project management concepts.
An understanding process analysis and business automation.
Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster(CSM), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)

BA I Salary Grade 8 $55,392 - $65,124

BA II Salary Grade 9 $61,139 - $71,904

BA III Salary Grade 11 $77,250 - $97,730 (includes market supplement)
