    The Tax Team at TikTok helps ensure that our company and all our products are tax-compliant throughout different regions and countries.

    Also, the Tax Team provides support to internal requests and works with multiple different stakeholders to support product and business launches and new features.

    Position SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to support our Canadian tax function at TikTok.

    Specifically, the role will be responsible for domestic tax compliance and reporting, support audits, planning, special projects, and expansion activities.

    The ideal candidate is a team player who strives for greater performance with the aptitude to learn and challenge themselves and can work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and potential risk areas.

    Responsibilities- This position will be responsible for supporting corporate and indirect tax matters including compliance, provision, research, planning, incentive tax opportunities, and controversies.- A core part of the responsibilities of this position is to support the tax compliance functions for the company's corporate and indirect tax obligations; this includes managing the outsource provider of tax compliance and tax reporting as well as handling various government notices.- Preparation of quarterly tax provisions and journal entries, including tax account reconciliation, true-up adjustments, and facilitating legal entity tax installment calculations.- Support the preparation of annual SRED and other ad hoc tax recovery projects.- Serve as a point of contact internally and externally, including being a subject matter expert for internal inquiries, coordinating audits, as well as monitoring legislative and regulatory developments.- Assist with the implementation of technology tools and process improvements.- Work with cross-functional teams to further understand business processes.



    • CPA license.
    • Experience working with sales taxrelated matters is a plus.
    • Proficiency with computer software (Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
    • High attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to communicate sophisticated tax concepts in ways that are meaningful to nontax professionals.
