(40 hours per week)

Are YOU our ECE Centre Coordinator?
You're a Registered E.C.E with a strong track record in administration and early childhood education. At your core, you're a superb educator, highly organized, technology proficient, with excellent people skills.

You have a passion for working with children and a strong flair for helping people and providing an exceptional educational and customer service experience.

Providing an enriched environment which promotes Jewish culture, traditions, and a connection to Israel are high on your priority list.

Your English language skills are superior, oral and written, and you are social media savvy. Working as part of a collaborative team with the SRC Daycare Director and Assistant Director. The ECE Centre Coordinator will cover for the Daycare Director/Assistant Director in their absence.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Compliance with the ECE Centre program in a licensed facility ages 06 years of age according to the Child Care and Early Years Act, City of Vaughan Operating Criteria, Program Statement, JCCA Sheva framework, ELECT and How Does Learning Happen?
  • Ensuring program and ratio compliance with the Ministry licensing and always ensuring the health and safety of all staff and children as well as accurate recordkeeping, covering in the classroom when needed for ratio.
  • Handling emergencies.
  • Creating a warm, friendly helpful and nurturing environment for parents, students and staff and ensuring a high rate of staff and children/family retention.
  • Receiving the sick calls or text messages from staff 2 hours prior to start of their shift and finding replacement staff in the mornings and adjusting staff schedules accordingly.
  • Assisting with troubleshooting staff issues.
  • Assisting with proofreading and approving teachers' developmental checklist comments for semiannual parent reports.
  • Assisting with office administration, including ordering supplies, liaising with kitchen staff, vendors, maintaining allergy list, daily attendance and class lists, processing registrations, maintaining waitlist, attendance tracking for subsidies, ensuring children's' and parents' files are continuously updated, ensuring all Ministry checks are completed as required, children's medical plans are up to date, processing access cards etc.
  • Assisting with liaising with property services for cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Assisting with ensuring proper protocols for monthly fire drills are followed and in actual emergency. Liaise with security as needed.
  • Assisting with hiring, coaching, counseling, training, and evaluating staff through classroom observations and ensuring high results and staff retention.
  • Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships among staff, including staff meetings.
  • Assisting with payroll, invoices and PWE tracking.
  • Assisting with kitchen administrative duties including ordering supplies, tracking invoices, overseeing kashrut, allergy prevention and other kitchen protocols.
  • Helping with curriculum outlines and input into lesson plans and ensuring high quality outputs that meet the physical, social and emotional needs of the children in our care.
  • Participating in SRC events and special activities.
