    What is the opportunity?

    As a Manager, Sourcing Execution, your role will influence sourcing decisions, drive supplier consolidation and cost savings efforts. You will partner with senior management to proactively develop strategies for low risk/non-complex sourcing initiatives. This role will gather and analyze data to help create playbooks and strategies to support the different business models for services currently under contract and prepare findings for senior management. This role will develop and negotiate non-complex contract strategies that will provide cost effective, sustainable solutions to RBC businesses, and optimizing total value generated from RBC's supplier base.

    What will you do?

    • Evaluate and analyze supplier proposals against business requirements to recommend the best solution and supplier to senior management.
    • Prepare and draft non-complex contract terms, working with legal department to ensure all terms are compliant and meet business requirements.
    • Prepare, coordinate and conduct non-complex supplier negotiations.
    • Support business partners in managing supplier contracts and relationships and make necessary amendments to current contracts as necessary.
    • Build effective and strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders by understanding key needs and dynamics across stakeholder groups, decisionmakers and influencers.
    • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with key suppliers, negotiating pricing/and or quality of service while minimizing risk.
    • Develop sourcing strategies for business units using industry analysis, business knowledge, competitive analysis and sourcing expertise.
    • Create plans to identify or recommend alternative suppliers against the sourcing execution plan, to maximize service levels and procurement activities and create alignment to long-term business strategies.

    What do you need to succeed?

    Must-have

    • Post-secondary education
    • Experience in supplier, sourcing and relationship management
    • Business, financial and contract law acumen
    • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
    • Result driven with focus on achieving financial targets (cost savings)

    Nice-to-have

    • Project management skills
    • Background in finance or IT
