A
Sprinkler Systems Installer (2nd - 4th year & Journeyperson included) is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in various types of buildings.

This role requires expertise in reading blueprints, installing piping and sprinkler heads, and ensuring that the systems meet safety standards and building codes.

Who You Are

Attitude:
The single most important trait of any person is their attitude.

A positive attitude with an ability to stay positive and productive through dynamic (and sometimes frustrating) situations is absolutely necessary and required of all installers.

Communication:
Is key and an important requirement for a successful installer.

While interacting with office personnel, clients and other installers and technicians, the ability to communicate effectively is among one of the most basic and important skills an installer can have.

Reporting/paperwork proficiency:

Installers are required to complete paperwork as well as documentation and must be able to provide clear, concise and timely submissions.

Punctuality:
This is a must for installers. Being prepared and on time is a requirement for all installers. Whether preparing for a job or meeting a client, being punctual is a must. Of course, as an installer, many scenarios beyond your control will occur. Communicating changes in schedule or tardiness in lieu of arriving on time is occasionally necessary.

Organizational skills:
This should be inherent in any successful installer.

The ability to maintain focus and productivity in a constantly changing environment is facilitated first and foremost by being organized.

Attention to detail:
Installers must have a clear focus on their jobs.

Nearly all of the work completed at Sterling is directly related to people's safety and as such, the details matter.

Ensuring the details are looked after will help to ensure the larger picture is as well.

Analytical mindset:
This is a technical job and requires a technical mind. Installers should be well-versed and comfortable while working on systems.

Ability to operate a company vehicle: A clean driver's abstract is required.
