What you will do:


Under the direction of the Senior Vice-President, Academic Leadership Team, the Administrative Assistant provides high-profile, professional and confidential support to the Institution's Office of the SVPA.


The Administrative Assistant will liaise with all levels of College staff, students, Governors, partners and the public and will undertake special projects and assignments on behalf of the Office of the SVPA as directed.


The Administrative Assistant will perform a wide variety of administrative support tasks using his/her well-developed organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, all of which contribute to the efficient and professional operation of the executive offices.


Responsibilities include:

  • Managing calendars for the Senior Vice-President, Academic Leadership Team
  • Generating reports and data analytics, developing Powerpoint and complex Excel tables, charts and spreadsheets, and formatting documents and reports (which include diagrams, tables and charts).
  • Providing Academic committee support, documenting meetings and consultations, record keeping, minutetaking, developing templates and collaborating to develop effective administrative processes, collecting data and information, and collaborating with the Senior Academic Leadership team.
  • Onboarding/offboarding departmental new hires, expense management, processing businessrelated travel requests, Program Advisory Committee membership letters, and assisting with student concerns and enquiries from the Humber community.
  • Organizing inperson and virtual consultations and meetings.

What you bring to the role

Education

  • Postsecondary diploma in fields of Office/Business Administration, Human Resources or similar;

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of administrative experience supporting a senior level leader/executive
  • Minimum 5 years specifically related experience in an educational facility, preferred
  • Experience preparing excel analytic reports, Powerpoint presentations and reports
