The Host is our Guest Ambassador.
The Host is responsible for welcoming each guest in a friendly, warm, and inviting manner and for the overall experience of each guest.
The Host plays a key role in creating the _vibe_ and an environment where our guests feel relaxed and engaged.

- Provide a genuinely welcoming and engaging first impression for our guestsBe knowledgeable about all aspects of the restaurant including, but not limited to: store hours, parking availability, current promotions and specials, and store policies and procedures
- Be organized and prepared. Understand your next actions to optimize your time and efforts so you have more time for the guests
- Discern most suitable service style for guests and seat in the appropriate area. Ex. dining room vs. lounge
- Act in a courteous, friendly and professional manner during all interactions with guests
- Possess a sincere attitude to be of service to others with a desire to succeed
Duties & Responsibilities
- Knowledge of property including property information, amenities, hours of operation and parking availability
- Saying Hello and Goodbye to every guest that visits the restaurant
- The ability to multitask; greeting, seating, handling incoming calls, saying goodbye to each guest as they leave while following all standards as it pertains to each task
- Organizing and confirming reservations by phone prior to arrival to ensure guests' attendance
- Optimization of floor plan, placement of reservations and high detail toward guest notes and preferences
- Cleanliness of workspace, completion of cleaning schedules, and vigilant ongoing maintenance of reception area.
- Handling guest concerns with and without the support of the management team
- Providing the highest quality of service at all times in all guest interactions
- Cleaning and organizing front entrance, host area, and tables as needed
- Relaying all reservation information, including VIP's, including special requests, private parties to Manager, Chef, and servers as needed
- Ability to take compliments or complaints with and without support of management
- Proper adherence to all cash handling procedures as outlined in company policies
- Correct use of POS system, adhering to all company standards and policies
- Assist front of FOH team when needed
- Knowledge of LIONS HEAD TAVERN including all products, menu's and promotions

Job Requirements

- Fluency in English both written and verbal
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to carry and lift items weighing 20lbs, must be able to stoop and bend
- Must be able to stand and move for extended periods of time to continuously perform essential job functions
- Current and valid Serve Right certification

From $15.00 per hour
