Junip is hiring a Full Stack Software Developer to join our small but growing product team. We're building a new way to review consumer products & brands, already used by millions of consumers & 3,500+ businesses like Pier 1 Imports, KOTN, Manduka & Tecovas weekly.

You'll be a part of our early team, given meaningful ownership, ship tons of code, and make impactful decisions daily.

Ideal Qualifications

Experience building scalable web applications in React, Ruby on Rails or adjacent technologies

Ability to craft delightful user experiences that keep accessibility, speed & mobile performance at the forefront

Experience shipping features end to end (particularly in Rails & React)

Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, crafting maintainable code and comfortable shipping to production daily

The Role

Working alongside Melissa (Product Design) , Robin (CTO) and the rest of Junip's product team, you'll be the primary developer focused on experiences across all of Junip's products. This includes our consumer facing elements (review submission forms, embedded displays on brand storefronts), corporate website ) & merchant Admin ).

You'll own projects wholly, from floor to ceiling. Together we'll build out new products, refine existing experiences & move into various new platforms, markets, and channels.

We're a small team, with strong traction & an efficient operating model. We're also funded by a wonderful group of angels, investors & industry execs.

We ship features weekly and deploy to production multiple times per day. We encourage creativity, innovation & don't shy away from difficult technical challenges that help us create better experiences for users. As a core member of our early team we'll depend on your help to continue to foster this culture.

The Process

Send a blurb, resume, sample work, some products you've built etc. Anything that you think will help showcase that you can write and ship code

For those selected you'll have an initial interview with our CTO, followed by a small technical project & a final interview with two members of our team to review your project as well as go over any final questions

Junip has a very flexible work style, but some time (in particular during onboarding + product planning) would be expected in either our Toronto or Kitchener office.
