    About the role

    Reporting to the Director, Operational Performance, the Manager, Project Management, will be responsible for operating a Project Management Office (PMO), managing a portfolio of projects, as well as supporting and contributing to the development of a team of project management consultants and specialists.

    What you'll do here:

  • Oversee and grow a Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Manage the implementation of a portfolio of projects related to our strategic objectives.
  • Promote and apply best practices in project management, change management and operational effectiveness.
  • Inspire and effectively manage a team of professionals.
  • Contribute to developing the team's competencies.
  • Inspire the team to strive for excellence and obtain a consistent and sustained level of commitment.
  • Collaborate with management teams and various business partners.
  • Qualifications:

  • Experience in setting up a Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Passionate about project management and operational efficiency.
  • Passionate about change management.
  • Constantly on the lookout for new approaches and trends in the fields of operational efficiency, project management and change management.
  • Bilingualism (English-French), spoken and written.
  • Willingness to tackle challenges head on.
  • A critical thinker, able to draw conclusions and apply them effectively.
  • Able to turn a vision into action.
  • Results focused.
  • What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five to ten years of experience in managing a PMO.
  • Five to ten years of project management experience.
  • Five to ten years of experience in managing and coaching professionals.
  • PMP certification.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency with project management and change management methodologies, tools and best practices.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Ability to influence others.
  • Ability to learn quickly and think strategically to challenge the status quo.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • An understanding of our Personal Lines and Commercial Lines underwriting operations, an asset
  • Bilingual: Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada
