Position Title:
Health Care Aide/Clinic Assistant (Nursing Student)

Job Status:
Part Time - Weekends and Holidays ONLY

Reports to:
Administrative Billing Manager and Clinic Business Operations Manager

Your Role:


Responsibilities:


  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and demonstrates safe work practices.
  • Maintain and clean equipment and carry out other duties related to maintaining a safe, clean environment.
  • Greeting, arriving and room patients, providing appointment instructions and appropriate supplies (changing, gowning).
  • Ensuring efficient and timely room turn over including cleaning and sterilizing beds, equipment, and ultrasound machines.
  • Responsible for cleaning and sterilizing ultrasound probes using the correct technique and Trophon.
  • Book appointments as requested and take payments.
  • Cleaning, sterilizing, packaging and autoclaving medical instruments.
  • Working in conjunction with the nursing team to assist with patient chart preparation within the EMR and paper charts.
  • Responsible for scanning of documents, ultrasound and surgical pictures to the EMR
  • Responsible for stocking patient and procedure rooms enusring that adequate amounts are available at all times.
  • Demonstrates ability to provide continuous quality patient care.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Position Requirements:


  • Completed Grade XII or equivalent Required.
  • Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide Course Required OR current enrollment in an RN or LPN nursing program in Manitoba.
  • Previous experience working in a hospital or clinic setting would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of Women's Health medical terminology would be an asset.
  • Current BCLS
  • Excellent and efficient computer, communication, and organization skills.
  • Experience with Accuro is preferred.
  • Must be able to work effectively and productively both independently and as part of the Heartland team.
  • Ability to respect and promote confidentiality.
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
  • Ability to multitask as needed.

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent


Salary:
$17.00-$19.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 16 per week
