Westbrook Greenhouses is a leading North American grower of potted plant products and we're passionate about enriching people's lives every day through the beauty of flowering plants.
We are seeking a Driver to deliver floral products to local customers in an efficient and professional manner and to shunt in between our own facilities. This position averages 30-44 hours per week with flexibility for overtime required during peak periods.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive company assigned vehicle in a safe, efficient manner, obeying all traffic regulations;
- Follow routes and schedule to deliver product to customers in a timely manner;
- Assist customers with the unloading of product in a courteous and professional manner;
- Assist greenhouse staff to load and unload truck;
- Communicate with staff regarding order status;
- Review order accuracy with customer before taking receipt of goods;
- Ability to drive electric pallet jack;
- Record daily pre-trip forms, to be submitted daily;
- Report any truck issues immediately to supervisor;
- Maintain a driver logbook on daily basis;
- Work in compliance with company policies and procedures and Occupational Health & Safety Act;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Valid AZ drivers' license;
- Clean driving record;
- 2+ years' experience in a driver capacity;
- Certification/experience using Material Handling Equipment is an asset;
- Able to handle heavy items and tolerate cold storage work environment as required;
- Able to work flexible hours as required to meet business needs;
- Strong customer service skills;
- Positive and professional attitude.
