Key responsibilities will include:


  • Ensure excellent relations through personal contact and excellent customer service.
  • Work with all parties to establish budgets and assist with cost benefit analysis.
  • Coordinate request for proposals and securing design consultants.
  • Ensure scope and timing of LandLord's obligations within leases are met.
  • Coordinate with designers & consultants to ensure drawings, specifications and contract documents are prepared on time and on budget.
  • Work with consultant team to secure permits, municipal approvals, and entitlements.
  • The preparation, issuance, and formal closings of tenders.
  • Ability to analyze tenders and make recommendations to internal and external clients.
  • Act as the Owner's representative and ensure their best interests are always maintained.
  • Represent the Owner during the general contract administration of projects, including project award, contract preparation/execution, and effectively dealing with contract changes.
  • Attend all construction and site meetings for assigned projects.
  • Manage consultants and contractors to ensure each project is completed on time, within budget and according to established specifications.
  • Alert internal clients of all issues impacting quality, timing, and cost of assigned projects.
  • Sign off on all payables for capital projects and ensure payments of obligations are met.
  • Track all budgets, costs to complete, cost variances and provide updates to internal and external clients as required.
  • Provide monthly project reports including cost reporting.
  • Obtain close out documentation for all projects including turnover of space to End User/Property Management group.
  • Manage project completion process, including deficiencies and warranty claims, budget reconciliation and permit closeout.
  • When landlord is commencing with tenant improvement work, responsibility to coordinate entire process of tenant fit out of newly developed space as required.
  • Make recommendations for the continuous improvement of policies and procedures.
  • Embrace and proactively support QuadReal's culture of environmental sustainability, and corporate and social responsibility.
  • Acting as a resource to operations and leasing staff, and assisting them in the preparation of budgets and proposals.
  • Other duties as required and assigned from time to time.

Education, Qualifications and Responsibilities:

years of experience in the design and development of large-scale real estate projects, with preference for experience in mixed-use, retail and multi-family projects.


  • Must understand and demonstrate experience in the principles of real estate development, design, construction, and finance.
  • Experience in working with sophisticated joint venture partners and understanding the importance of balancing company and partner objectives.
  • An established network of contacts and ability to interact effectively with government officials, consultants, and contractors.
  • Development experience in the Toronto market is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to add value to the broader organization through industry knowledge and forwardlooking thinking on strategies and trends.


  • Education

  • University degree(s) or College Diploma (s) with an emphasis on, architecture, engineering, design, and/or planning. Professional certifications or licenses are helpful, but not required.
  • Analytical / Computer Skills
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills; Proficient of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
