    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Closing Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations to ensure the restaurant runs at full efficiency and that guests receive the highest level of service excellence. The Closing Manager will help oversee, and manage the front-of-house team, while working closely with the management team to ensure each guest receives a unique and elevated experience that is in harmony with the kitchen's food program. The incumbent will also support in inventory, ordering, and administrative duties.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead by example, inspiring staff to deliver a memorable food and beverage experience
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant
    • Maintain exceptional standards of professionalism and hospitality
    • Actively engage with guests, cultivating relationships and guest satisfaction
    • Responsible for weekly and monthly inventory counts and inputting counts into reporting system
    • Close restaurant when scheduled, including locking up the restaurant, conducting closing reports, signing out staff, and entering cash outs
    • Manage staff and effectively and efficiently run daily shifts to ensure labour targets are met
    • Respond to all incoming inquiries and provide extensive product knowledge to all guests
    • Oversee daily staff tasks/duties to ensure completed to full satisfaction
    • Provide coaching daily to help each employee build on their hospitality skills

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • At least one year of experience as a supervisor or shift leader in a fine dining restaurant environment
    • At least two years of customer service experience
    • Related post-secondary education i.e., Business or Hospitality Management
    • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Serving It Right Certification
    • A multi-tasker with an eye for detail; strong organizational skills
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
    • Superior conflict resolution skills, with the ability to relate professionally to all levels of staff, management, clientele, suppliers, and partners
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
